1 حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَلِيٍّ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ هَمَّامِ بْنِ سُهَيْلٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَبْزَارِيِّ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي نَصْرٍ الْبَزَنْطِيِّ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا (ع) فِي أَيِّ شَهْرٍ نَزُورُ الْحُسَيْنَ (ع) قَالَ فِي النِّصْفِ مِنْ رَجَبٍ وَ النِّصْفِ مِنْ شَعْبَانَ وَ رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي نَصْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا (ع) مِثْلَهُ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ أَيُّ الْأَوْقَاتِ أَفْضَلُ أَنْ تَزُورَ [نَزُورَ فِيهِ الْحُسَيْنَ

1. Abū ‘Ali Muḥammad ibn Hammām ibn Suhayl narrated to me from Abī ‘Abdillāh Ja’far ibn Muḥammad ibn Mālik, from Ḥasan ibn Muḥammad Al-Abzāri, from Ḥasan ibn Maḥbūb, from Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad ibn Abī Nasr Al-Bizanťi, who said: I asked Abal Ḥasan (Imam Riďā (a.s.)), “In which month should we go to the Ziyārah of Ḥusain (a.s.)?” Imam (a.s.) replied, “On the fifteenth of Rajab and the fifteenth of Sha’bān.” The above Ḥadīth has also been narrated through the following chain: Aḥmad ibn Hilāl, from Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad ibn Abī Nasr, from Abil Ḥasan, Imam Riďā (a.s.). However, the question reads, “When is the best time to go to Ziyārah of Ḥusain (a.s.)?”

2 حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ بَزِيعٍ عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ بَشِيرٍ الدَّهَّانِ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ (ع) قَالَ مَنْ زَارَ الْحُسَيْنَ (ع) يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ عَارِفاً بِحَقِّهِ كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَهُ ثَوَابَ أَلْفِ حِجَّةٍ وَ أَلْفِ عُمْرَةٍ وَ أَلْفِ غَزْوَةٍ مَعَ نَبِيٍّ مُرْسَلٍ مَنْ زَارَهُ أَوَّلَ يَوْمٍ مِنْ رَجَبٍ غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَهُ الْبَتَّةَ

2. My father narrated to me from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh, from Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad ibn ‘Isā, from Muḥammad ibn Ismā’īl ibn Bazī’, from Sāliḥ ibn ‘Uqbah, from Bashīr Al-Dahhān, who said: Ja’far ibn Muḥammad (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)) said: Allāh will register the reward of one thousand Hajj and one thousand ‘Umrah and the reward of fighting one thousand times with one of Allāh’s messengers for those who go to the Ziyārah of Ḥusain (a.s.) on the Day of ‘Arafah while knowing his rights. And surely Allāh forgives those who go to his Ziyārah on the first day of Rajab.
