 حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الصَّفَّارُ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِیلَ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ عَنِ الْحُسَیْنِ بْنِ عَلِیٍّ الْبَطَائِنِیِّ عَنْ صَنْدَلٍ عَنْ هَارُونَ بْنِ خَارِجَهَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع یَقُولُ مَنْ أَصَابَهُ مَرَضٌ أَوْ شِدَّهٌ وَ لَمْ یَقْرَأْ فِیهَا قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ ثُمَّ مَاتَ فِی مَرَضِهِ- أَوْ فِی تِلْکَ الشِّدَّهِ الَّتِی نَزَلَتْ بِهِ فَهُوَ فِی النَّارِ.

1.  It is narrated that Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) said, “One who is  involved in some  disease  or  calamity  and if he  dies  in such a state without reciting Surah Ikhlaas, he shall go to Hell.”
